Encourage LINE ID Linking on the Post-Purchase Thank You Page

About This Feature

This feature allows you to display a LINE linking promotion block on the Thank You page (purchase completion page) that customers see after placing an order, specifically for users who are logged in to your store.

How to Add a LINE ID Linking Promotion to the Thank You Page

1. Open the Checkout Editor from the “Checkout” Section in Settings

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Checkout, then click “Customize” at the top of the checkout settings page.

Note: Depending on your store’s current status, the Thank You page and Order Status page may be unpublished.If they are unpublished, you’ll need to publish them during the setup process. (Details provided below)

2. Add the LINE Linking Promotion Block to the Thank You Page

Click the page selector in the top bar, and open the "Thank You" template from the list.

Open the "Sections" panel in the side menu and click "Add app block".

From the list of available app blocks, click “LINEのID連携を促す (LINE Linking Promotion)” – CRM PLUS on LINE.

From the app block settings, you can select up to three benefits (key selling points of your service) to display on the Thank You page.

By default, three commonly used items are selected, but you can freely choose the ones that best suit your store.

You can also customize the block by replacing each image with your preferred visuals, and by editing the headings and text.

To replace an image, you’ll need to generate a URL for it.In the Shopify admin, go to Content > Files, upload your image, and click the 🔗 icon to copy the image URL.

After you finish customizing the content, click the arrow icon to return to the Sections list.

3. Add the LINE Linking Promotion Block to the Order Status Page

Click the page selector in the top bar and open the Order status template from the list.

Open the "Sections" panel in the side menu and click "Add app block".
From the list of available app blocks, click “LINEのID連携を促す (LINE Linking Promotion)” – CRM PLUS on LINE.

Just like on the Thank You page, select the benefits you want to display, and customize the images and text as needed.

After you finish customizing the content, click the arrow icon to return to the Sections list.

4. Save and Publish Your Settings

After completing the setup for both the Thank You page and the Order Status page, click the "Save" button.

You have now completed the setup.

Note: Depending on your store’s status, the Thank You page and Order Status page may be unpublished. If they are unpublished, click the “Open upgrade guide” button after to complete the upgrade process.

Want to Revert to the Traditional Thank You and Order Status Pages?

You can temporarily revert to the traditional Thank You and Order Status pages, which display the LINE linking option by inserting additional scripts.

To revert, scroll to the bottom of the Checkout settings page and click "revert" in the "Order status page additional scripts" section.

For details on the traditional setup method, refer to “Add LINE ID Linking to the Post-Purchase Thank You Page via Script Insertion (Japanese).”

⚠️ The additional scripts feature will be discontinued on August 28, 2025. Please switch to the new method using the Checkout Editor by then.

What If the App Block Doesn’t Appear?

The LINE Linking Promotion app block is displayed only to customers who are logged in to your store.
It will not be shown to guest checkout customers.

What If the App Block Doesn’t Work?

The LINE Linking Promotion app block works only on your live published store.
Please note that it does not function on development stores or password-protected stores.

If you want to test the block on the Order status page, follow the steps below:

⚠️ On development stores or password-protected stores, clicking the button will not trigger LINE ID linking, and functionality cannot be confirmed.
